Bishop Urges Ghanaians To Fight Against Corruption

Bishop Bernard Ogyiri-Asare, General Overseer of the Zion Praise Chapel International, has charged Ghanaians to fight against bribery, corruption and embezzlement of state funds by unpatriotic people. He said Ghanaians must collectively fight against these crimes instead of putting the task on the shoulders of the President alone. Bishop Ogyiri-Asare was speaking at the Churchs Four Nights of Prayers for Gods mercy and forgiveness at Effia near Takoradi at the weekend. He used the occasion to give his prophecy for 2015 and urged Ghanaians to be merciful towards one another so that God would also forgive and show them mercy. Bishop Ogyiri-Asare said though 2015 has many prospects for the nation, it is not going to be an easy year because of various crimes that Ghanaians had committed against God. He said crimes like ritual murders, occultism, armed robbery, rape, defilement, homosexuality, lesbianism, bribery and corruption, rampant embezzlement of public funds, disrespect for people in authority and the elderly, as well as insults on Men of God by some Ghanaians had invited the wrath of God on the nation. Bishop Ogyiri-Asare made a passionate appeal to President John Dramani Mahama to declare 2015 a year of national repentance and prayers to seek Gods mercy and forgiveness. He appealed to religious leaders and political parties in the country to support his call to the President to help Ghanaians seek Gods mercy, forgiveness and intervention for the nation. Bishop Ogyiri-Asare made startling prophesies saying the nation would also experience more heinous crimes, accidents, tribal conflicts, workers agitations and outbreak of diseases in 2015 while many people in top positions would lose their jobs.
