Ghana Condemns France Terror Massacre

The Government of Ghana has described Wednesday�s terrorist attack in Paris that claimed 12 lives as senseless and an attack on democratic values. A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in Accra said the attack carried out on the premises of the Charlie Hebdo magazine was learnt with great shock. �We understand that eight out of the persons murdered were journalists and two being policemen. We are appalled at the senseless killing of these individuals, and the terror and cruelty unleashed on the unsuspecting public. We regard this as an attack on our common values of democracy, peaceful co-existence and the freedom of speech, and stand in solidarity with the people of France at this difficult time. �On behalf of the Government and People of Ghana, I wish to express our heartfelt condolences to the Government and People of France and especially to the families of the deceased persons, who must be going through such pain at this time.� French police say they are on the tail of two key suspects, Cherif and Said Kouachi, after the two allegedly robbed a service station north of France.
