Samuel Torbi, the young cocoa farmer who was visited by President John Mahama as he marked his second anniversary as President of Ghana has said the Presidential visit was a blessing to his life.
The President visited the 2013 National Best Young Cocoa Farmer on his farm in Assin Sienchem in the Central Region, Wednesday January 7 as part of his campaign to encourage young people into farming.
Speaking to 'Starr News' Torbi said the Presidents visit will encourage many young people in his area to go into farming.
First I will like to say his visit is a blessing from God. He promised me some time ago when I went with other farmers to the flagstaff House to thank him for increasing the purchasing price for cocoa, but I thought he didnt mean it.
Im very happy. In my community here, there will be a great change because all the young people will now realise that if they work hard, the president will visit them, he stated.
