Mahama's 2yr Admin Seen More Dev't Than Kufuor's 8yr Gov't Fifi Kwetey

Agric Minister Fifi Kwetey has said Ghana has seen more development under the two-year-old Mahama-led administration than it did under the eight-year rule of former President John Agyekum Kufuor. Fifi Kwetey also asked Ghanaians to applaud President John Dramani Mahama for maintaining a positive posture during the "two difficult years" of his administration. According to him, the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has achieved a lot, despite the difficult times the economy has experienced. "Despite all these challenges that could have discouraged any leader, I get fascinated that he (President Mahama) has been able to maintain optimisim; having the believe that things will work and I think we should applaud him for that... Ghana should feel privileged to have President Mahama as a leader" The former Deputy finance minister stated on Radio Gold's Alhaji and Alhaji Saturday that he was hopeful there will be real acceleration in development in 2015 and 2016. "The President has worked really hard and he is taking us to where we need to go" he added. Fiifi Kwetey was however not surprised that the opposition New Patriotic Party ( NPP) is still not 'seeing' what the Mahama-led administration is doing. According to him: "they (NPP) do a lot of empty talking and that is the difference between us and them...we do things because we are concerned of the development of the country. They use a lot of PR hoping to confuse the people to get their votes...One significant thing of this administration is turning difficulties into opportunities".
