Mr Bala Muhammed, popularly known as Mr B, has filed his papers to contest as Medie Assembly member in the Ga West Municipality with the pledge to bring massive development to the area.
Mr Bala, Systems Analyst, said he would use his position to lobby government and development partners to channel their resources into developing the area.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Medie, the aspiring assembly member said he would facilitate the establishment of a recreational ground for children and the youth, and the construction of town roads and drains.
He said he would eliminate the shift system from all schools in the locality, empower the neighbourhood watchdog committee to function effectively and ensure that a police station is in place to help maintain law and order
Mr Bala is a product of the Methodist University College, Ghana and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.
The Electoral Commission has announced March 3, as the date for the conduct of unit committee and district assembly elections across the country.
