The Ashanti Regional Police Command has rounded up some suspected armed robbers who have been on its wanted listed for some time now. The robbers are believed to be members of a car snatching syndicate operating in the Ashanti Region. During a press briefing in Kumasi on Tuesday, the Deputy Regional Commander of the Ashanti Regional Command, ACP Ampofo Duku narrated that for some months now, there have been complaints from the public about the opertaions of the group around the Santase roundabout. The syndicate was arrested with assorted weapons on January 8 after after information received from the Police information room indicated that a Nissan Micra taxi cab had been snatched from a driver about 10 pm. ACP Duku paraded the suspects and called on the general public to be forthcoming with information that will lead to their prosecution. �We are inviting the good people of Kumasi, Aboabo and Tech areas who may have fallen victim to the nefarious activities of such miscreants so that they come forward and make a complain to enable us successfully prosecute them,� he said.
