Minister Of Transport & MMT Staff Union Chairmen Are Behind Strike - MMT Board Chairman

The Board Chairman of the Metro Mass Transit (MMT), Nana Osabarima Ansah Sasraku III has concluded that the strike marshaled out by the workers union was a masterpiece of the Minister of Transport, Mrs. Dzifa Aku Attivor and the staff union chairmen of MMT. The MMT Junior Staff Divisional Union Chairman, Mr. Joseph Kwesi Ahinkora, explained that the strike was in protest against the disappearance of the companys vehicles and other challenges the MMT was currently facing. But according to the Board Chairman, the agitation of the striking workers has got nothing to do with the missing buses but a deliberate ploy by both the Senior and Junior Staff Union Chairmen to drag his integrity in the mud. Speaking on Oman Fms Morning Show, Nana Osabarima Ansah Sasraku III, Mmrantehene of Akuapeman insisted that his refusal to allow the leaders of the Metro Mass Transit to do whatever they like has created the hatred, hence the call for his removal. I am telling you that there are people behind the strike of the workers union. What the workers are saying is not a union matter. I have a report in front of me that says that no busses have been sold; but the investigative team comprising the union chairmen of both Senior and Junior staff were able to say that some buses are missing and so the workers should go on strike, can you imagine?, he asserted. I came to help the company but I cannot allow some people to tarnish my name; as the Mmrantehene of Akuapeman, a lot of people have a lot of respect for me. Those who are parading as honest people dont come near me when it comes to integrity; I have always said that when you live in a glass house, dont throw stones...I wont rule out anybody in this case including the Minister of Transport; it goes all the way up I wont rule out anybody, he added. He however wondered why the Minister of Transport would go and speak to the striking union while there is board to handle the issue; adding that the Minister earlier denied knowledge of the strike but later went to meet the striking workers to talk to them.
