Action/2015 Ghana Campaign Launched

Action/2015 Ghana just finished the launched of the action/2015 campaign with two (2) massive event that was held in the national capital ( Accra) Thursday. The first event took place at the Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection where 15 school pupils/children delegation from different schools handed over our petition on behalf of all children across the country to two Deputy Ministers of Gender, children and social protection and Chief Director of ministry of Environment. The second event took place in Ashaiman a surburb of Greater Accra in the national capital where we embarked on a procession through the principal streets of the town and distributed hundred of brochures and leaflets to the general public and ended our procession at the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly where the municipal chief executive receive our petition on behalf of Government. According to the Municipal Chief Executive of Ashaiman, told the gathering that Ghana has not been able to meet the Millennium Development Goals especially on sanitation and assure us that Government is committed to work together with civil society for the betterment of children and to build a better society for all Ghanaians. He also assured the campaigners that our message will be conveyed to the president of the republic to take the necessary action on our demands. The two events was attended by youth organization, 15 years old school children, market women, Christian and Muslims groups from across the country. In all about 700 people/citizens participated in the launch.
