I Challenge The NPP To A Public Debate Kwesi Pratt Jr.

A leading member of the Committee for Joint Action (CJA), Kwesi Pratt Jnr has dared the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP] to a public debate on why the CJA has given up on its responsibilities to mount pressure on any sitting government if things are going wayward. He counselled the NPP not to depend on other pressure groups to protest against the Mahama government on their behalf. He categorically said that all that is needed to organize a successful demonstration is a brain to articulate your concerns and the physical strength to be able to walk the streets. He was speaking on Radio Gold, Alhaji & Alhaji political show in response to claims by the NPP that, the CJA had become an inactive pressure group after the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government took office in 2009. However, Mr. Pratt who is a very active member of the pressure group said, I challenge the members of the NPP to a full public debate. I will invite other radio stations to cover it live so that the people of Ghana will know who has the fact and who has the correct analysis. This should be done as quickly as possible. We have to organize this public debate. Bring two of the most knowledgeable heavyweight people of the NPP and two ordinary people from the CJA then at the end of the day, let people judge who is right and who is wrong and who has been principled and who has been unprincipled. I challenge them! he said Kwesi Pratt Junior also questioned why the NPP is relying on the CJA to demonstrate against fuel prices on their behalf. What prevents them [NPP] from demonstrating? Why should CJA be the one to demonstrate for them? he queried.
