NPP Calls For More Interaction Of Members At Local Level

The National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Sammy Awuku, has called for more interaction among members and sympathisers of the party at the grass-roots level.

Mr Awuku noted that it was sad that some polling station executives did not even know their constituency executive members, which was not aiding effective planning and execution of programmes.

Engagement
He said socialising with the people during funerals, parties, outdooring and other engagements would help the party get some floating voters for the 2016 elections.

Mr Awuku made the call when he addressed La Dade-Kotopon Constituency polling station executives and co-ordinators at a meeting at the Nyaniba Estate in Accra, to reawaken members to strategise for the way forward in campaigning towards the 2016 elections.

He said socialising with community members had the potency of helping to win over the undecided voters, as well as “convince our brothers and sisters who belong to other political divides to join us.”

“Winning over our next door neighbour should be our primary concern.”

Polling stations
Mr Awuku reminded party members that the battle ahead was an enormous one and charged the polling station executives and the co-ordinators to devise strategies immediately to kick-start their campaigns.

He, therefore, charged them to remedy the situation and be proactive to issues that could affect the party.

He,  commended the NPP Co-ordinator for Nyaniba Estate, Mr Samuel Adjei, for organising the meeting.

The constituency executives present were Mr Kotey Nikoi, First Vice Chairman and Mr Emmanuel “Kobila” Tetteh, Organiser, while the occasion was graced by Mr Oscar Odoi Glover, 2012 Parliamentary Candidate, Mr Vincent Odotei alias “Obama” and Mr Vincent Addotey Addo, all members of the party.
