James Kwabena Bomfeh, affectionately called Kabila has blamed the production crew of Accra- based radio station, Joy FM, for the boycott of its weekend current affairs programme "News file."

The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia, according to the production crew, was invited to be part of the panel on the programme but failed to turn up for the show to commence.

This therefore led to the boycott by the General Secretaries of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Convention People's Party (CPP), Kwabena Agyapong and Ivor Greenstreet respectively.

The boycott there sparked controversies, hence making it a topical issue on the airwaves.

Speaking on Peace FM's Morning show "Kokrokoo", Kabila took a swipe at the crew for slacking in their duty so far as the programme was concerned.

He ascribed the incident to communication failures and the inability of the crew to adopt a contingency plan to ensure that the programme doesn't become a fiasco.

He blamed the crew for sitting on the fence when they realized that Mr. Asiedu Nketia, popularly called General Mosquito, would not be present on the show.

Inferring from reports available to him, the "News file" crew failed to reach a consensus with General Mosquito resulting in his absence.

Kabila therefore thinks "the production team could have done better than what they did.”

To him, the General Secretaries should be left off the hook because the crew was rather unfair to them.

"The impression of Kwabena Agyapong and Ivor Greenstreet, Kofi Siaw that they were coming with was that they were going to discuss issues as General Secretaries. Then they reach there only to see other ranks or other persons other than General Secretaries who are supposed to come...You have not been fair to them," he insisted.
