Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Ashanti Regional Minister has made a passionate appeal to workers at the Metro Mass Transport Terminal in Kumasi to exercise restraint in expressing their grievances to ensure the continuous progress of their service in terms of production.
The Ashanti Regional Minister was at the Bus terminal, together with Hon. Henry Kokofu, NPP Member of Parliament for Bantama, to interact with the management and leadership of workers union at the MMT terminal in Kumai.
The minister expressed worry and raised concern about the recent misunderstanding the workers union and the leadership at the Bus terminal and pleaded with them to always consult the Regional Coordinating Council anytime the leadership of the Union fails to respond to their concerns. The minister, however, commended the sector Minister for her prompt reaction to the situation.
Mr. Stephen Bukari, Assistant transport coordinator for Northern and southern sector, also commended the minister for the interaction with the workers, which he said had prevented a future reoccurrence of the crisis situation.
