Its a Shame Ghana Missing Me At AFCON 2015 - Albert Adomah

The Boro winger insists the Black Stars are missing him in the Nations Cup and it is sad he is following proceedings on TV.

Middlesbrough Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah believes the Black Stars are missing him in Equatorial Guinea and it is a pity he is watching the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations on TV.

The 28-year-old was one of the players dropped from the initial squad before the final 23 was named for Equatorial Guinea.

“It's a shame that Ghana is missing me and I can only watch on television," Adomah told BBC Tees. “I was hoping to stay here and be part of the promotion campaign and it turned out for the best for me.”

He added: “I happened to get injured when I was supposed to meet up with the team, and unfortunately they told me not to travel.

“But it worked out in my favour as I got to play against a bigger team in the FA Cup and do well in the Championship.”

Ghana are through to the quarter-finals and will play either Guinea or Mali in Malabo on Sunday.
