Vodafone Ghana Foundation has gifted the Anatomy department of the University of Ghana Medical School, a check donation of ninety nine thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 99,000).

The presentation was made by Mr. Gayheart Mensah, who is the Head of External Affairs at Vodafone Ghana. According to him, the gesture represents Vodafone’s aspiration to improve upon the learning environment of the Anatomy department.  

He explained that from a distance, Vodafone Ghana knows how critical understanding the various functions of the human body is to society; and this informed their decision to help.

The donation according to Mr. Gayheart Mensah is to aid the department acquire theatre lamps to improve on their learning conditions.

On behalf of the Anatomy Department, Dr. John Ahenkorah gleefully thanked Vodafone Ghana Foundation for showering such a blessing on them.

He explained that for decades they have trained lots of students but have constantly faced issues to do with limited funds. Dr. Ahenkorah established that the donation would go a long way to benefit every student who uses the facility for years to come.
