Men Should Always Appreciate Women; They Give Sex Out Of Sympathy And Compassion - Maurice Ampaw

A Private Legal Practitioner, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw has revealed that the British Parliament has passed a new law on consensual sex last week and it now beholds on the man to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the act was consensual and not rape.

According to him, as Ghana takes its all common laws from the Britain, the rape case against the renowned broadcaster, KKD will depend on how he will prove to the court whether his sexual encounter was consensual or not.

Speaking on Okay FM’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, Lawyer Maurice Ampaw says it must be established that proving consensual sex has become a burden on men as there must be ways and means for men to get evidence of consensual sex as it is in the case of KKD.

He believes there are no many rape cases against men in the country because women are compassionate and always sympathize with men in sexual acts; indicating that the law on sex has given power to women to determine whether there must be sex or not.

“Women give sex out of sympathy and compassion and this does not mean they are cheap; men should rather be thankful to women because the law says unless women consent to sex, there can be no sex and so men must understand that it is out of sympathy that men get the chance to sleep with their women without rape charges,” he urged.

“If all women decide to go on sex strike for the whole year, we will see the hardship that men will go through; we should appreciate women because the law on sex favors them more than men….no man can have sex with a woman without her consent,” he added.

He however sarcastically hinted that as the burden of prove lies on men to determine consensual sex, he will help men by going for a Copyright on Consent Form so that women who are not understandable and unloving can go into agreement before sex.
