Five Institutions Cook For Charity On Feb 7

The second edition of the exciting culinary contest ‘Cook2Save' designed to benefit less privileged in society takes place among five tertiary institutions at the Hilla Limann Hall, University of Ghana on Saturday February 7 at 1pm.

An initiate of Rite Multimedia, this year’s competition will benefit New Horizon Special School in Accra. The last edition saw the Teshie orphanage benefiting from proceeds generated from the event.

Cooking sumptuous dishes this year are ladies from University of Ghana, University of Professional Studies, Zenith University College, College of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management and Marshalls University supported by top chefs from some of the finest hotels in the capital such as Alisa Hotel, Best Western Premier, Tulip-Inn, Novotel and African Regent.

Patrons will be expected to sample all meals prepared by the 5competing institutions and then vote with their coupons for the institution with the best meal. The institution with the most votes wins the 2015 COOK2SAVE and will receive prizes from sponsors.

Some of the country’s celebrated artistes such as IWAN, Rasheed Metal alongside emerging talents like Predy X Omane, Don-Itchi and 2012 Talented Kids champion Malaika will entertain the crowd at the venue.  Visit www.youtube.com/cook2save or www.facebook.com/cook2save for more.
