New Patriotic Party (NPP) 2016 Running mate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has attributed the current economic hardship in the country to excessive corruption in the Mahama administration.
Dr. Bawumia who was speaking to students of the Tamale Polyclinic charter of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy Network of the NPP (TESCON) said corruption coupled with economic mismanagement on the part of government is what is making Ghanaians suffer under this administration.
“After six years of the NDC government, after being blessed with oil revenue, it is Wahala here, wahala there and wahala everywhere…,” he told the ecstatic students.
To him, Ghanaians would suffer more if the ruling administration continuously mismanages the numerous resources Ghana is blessed with.
“The wahala and hardship we are enduring are for two reasons, and the reasons are economic mismanagement and corruption, as students I would like you to put this into a simple equation, mismanagement plus corruption equals wahala…,” he said.
The answer to the excessive hardship Ghanaians are suffering is for government to put itself in order and work to ensure an end to the excessive corruption and mismanagement so that resources would be put to good use for the benefit of Ghanaians.
