President Mahama Directs Police Administration To Increase Police Visibility

President John Mahama has directed the Police Administration to increase the number of Police visibility to deal with criminals who are bent on taking advantage of the load shedding exercise to commit crimes.

He tasked the Police Administration to liaise with the ECG for the load shedding time table to know areas that will be without light and offer protection.

President Mahama gave the directive at a graduation ceremony for 125 officers into Assistant Superintendents at the National Police Training School at Tesano in Accra.

He sympathised with Ghanaians over the hardship they are going through due to the load shedding exercise.

President Mahama offered Ghanaians a glimmer of hope with the announcement that a number of the thermal plants that are down for maintenance will soon resume generation to improve the energy situation in the country.

The Cadet Officers Course 46 was made up of 21 female officers and 104 male officers.

President Mahama who was the reviewing officer patted the police on the back but asked them to do more in maintaining law and order.

He said the government will continue to resource the Service both logistically and personnel to enable it to live up to its mandate.

Cadet Officer, Janet Akrofi-Ansah was adjudged the best Cadet Officer.
