She is currently being held at the KNUST Police to help in investigations.

Police briefing

Speaking to the Daily Graphic, the KNUST Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr Emmanuel Adu-Boahene, said the police received a distress call at about 8:45 p.m. last Saturday, that a house was on fire.

He said some residents had put out the fire before personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service could get to the scene.

He said during interrogation, Madam Amoah allegedly confessed to setting the house ablaze because her husband had always refused to support her each time she had  a quarrel with the tenants.

Mr Adu-Boahene said the suspect allegedly set fire to a blanket and put  it in the wardrobe in their bedroom, after which she locked the bedroom and the hall and moved to stand outside the house.
