A 17-year-old nursing mother has allegedly stabbed her rival to death at Nungua. The suspect, Faridatu, on the run, stabbed Jennifer Azuma in their boyfriend’s room.

Speaking to The Finder, Nungua District Crime Officer, ASP Godfred Adu-Yaw stated that Manafe Kweku Bande, 16 years, impregnated 17-year-old Faridatu, who went to the North to deliver some six months ago.

He said while Faridatu was away, Manafe Kweku Bande started dating Azuma, another 17-year-old girl. According to ASP Godfred Adu-Yaw, at about 8am last Saturday, the two ladies visited Bande.

The Nungua District Crime Officer explained that Bande said he excused the two girls to go and fetch water, only for him to find Jennifer in a pool of blood in his room on his return

ASP Adu-Yaw stated that Bande claimed Jennifer told him that it was Faridatu who stabbed her. Jennifer was rushed to the hospital but could not make it. However, her body has since been deposited at the Police Hospital for autopsy.

The Crime Officer stated that Faridatu went to the North to deliver Bande’s baby, who is currently six-months old.

Faridatu’s baby is with her parents in the North.
