Veep Charges Black Stars To Win AFCON 2017

Vice President of the republic of Ghana, H.E. Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, has charged the senior national team to win the AFCON 2017.

According to him, despite the Black Stars failing to annex this years’ trophy after losing on penalties to the Ivory Coast, the team lost gallantly.

The Vice President was speaking at the team’s arrival at the Kotoka International Airport.

“Even though, you didn’t win, we thought that you were victorious even in defeat...before you went into the last final match, the international press said, you didn’t have character, you didn’t have mental strength, but what I saw when watching means you had character and physical strength than your opponent even after playing your semis.

“You were better in the air, with strength, you defended well, you attacked well and I am surprise the international press wrote all this stories about the Black Stars,” the vice President said.

However, he was confident the Black Stars will win the AFCON 2017 as the country bids to host the competition.

He was accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Prosper Douglas Kweku Bani, Ministers of States as he commended them for their brilliant showing at the just ended tournament in Equatorial Guinea.
