Communications Director of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP] Nana Akomea has described Youth and Sports Minister, Mahama Ayariga recent attitude on radio as “unfortunate”.

According to him, in as much as journalists are pursuing him to be accountable of the tax payers’ money spent on the recent African Cup of Nations he erred by describing their questions put to him “useless”.

Nana Akomea however noted that, persons affected by Mahama Ayariga’s assertions should forgive him and urged the public to cease from attacking his personality.

The Sports Minister on Peace FM, Adom FM and Citi FM went ballistic and described journalists as asking useless questions as well as using their airtime to discuss unnecessary issues when asked to explain into details Ghana’s budget for AFCON 2015.

He insisted that the budget is the lowest AFCON budget of all time in the history of Ghana.

However, Mahama Ayariga has been tagged as an arrogant and disrespectful person in the NDC whiles other have rain insults on him on various social media platforms.

But speaking on Adom FM, Friday, Nana Akomea opined that, he has known the sports minister to be a very humble person and not among the “babies with sharp teeth” in the ruling NDC.
