Two people arrested with 14 stolen sheep have been convicted by the Nyinahin Magistrate Court, presided over by Mr. Sam Nibi.
Joseph Awuah and Richard Anderson were each sentenced to a fine of GH�300 and in default spend 270 days in prison.
This was after they pleaded guilty to the crime of stealing.
The two, together with two others on the run - Oscar Solomon, a driver, and one �Doctor�, stole the animals from Atumtuma and Ntobroso, nearby farming communities in the Atwima-Mponua District, tied the legs, plastered the mouths and put them on a mini-bus.
Police Inspector Daniel Otabil told the court that the incident happened on January 25.
The thieves were given out and arrested when the vehicle transporting the stolen sheep broke down.
He said four of the animals were found dead.
The court ordered the arrest of the fugitive accomplices of the convicts.
