President John Mahama is expected to present the state of the Nation's address to Parliament today.

This is in accordance with Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana which states “the President shall, at the beginning of each session of Parliament and before dissolution of Parliament, deliver to Parliament a message on the state of the nation.”

Majority of Ghanaians will expect the President to focus on the incessant power crisis currently tormenting the country. The energy crisis is crippling many businesses in the country; hence Ghanaians will expect the President to give pragmatic measures in bringing it to an end.

Snippets of information gathered by Peacefmonline.com indicate that the President will also focus on education, agriculture, health and the economy.

As far as the economy is concerned, the President is expected to touch on Ghana’s three-year economic adjustment programme with the IMF.

As has been the case of previous state of the Nation Address, the President will state the achievements of his administration as well as the way forward for his administration.
