Noise Makers In Trouble, KMA To Go Wild On Noise

Noise from churches,roadside preachers, information centres and all other sources in and around Kumasi will soon be a thing of the past.

Edmund Kumba, Head of the noise control unit of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly together with his men are warming up to ensure that all
sources of noise pollution are permanently closed down.

Various research works have shown that noise kills in several ways and has an ernomous effect on foetuses in the womb.Noise shrinks the brain
and reduces reasoning ability drastically.

Ghanaians however seem so used to noise booming from various speakers along the roads, churches, drinking spots, funerals, lorry stations among several others.

The noise control unit which has been working hard on the noise situation in Kumasi intends to take their activities a notch higher and has cautioned operators of information centres,preachers, bar operators and other sources of noise to start refining their operations to acceptable limits or face their wrath.
