Kotoko Team Manager Godwin Ablordey Asked To Proceed On Leave

Premier League Champions Asante Kotoko have asked team manager Godwin Ablordey to proceed on leave, reports in the media have indicated. The former Asante Kotoko team captain has been asked to proceed on leave by the management of the Club after he was spotted with some officials of the old administration. Ablordey is said to have met some members of the then led-K.K Sarpong administration in discussing of certain issues which were not disclosed to Ghanasportsonline.com. His act has eventually led to the management of the Porcupine Warriors issuing an indefinite accumulated leave to the former team player. Reports from Kumasi indicates that former player of the Club Prince Adu Poku who is currently working as a team official for the Kotoko Youth team has been asked to step in as the substantive Welfare manager of the Club. Ablordey who was serving a 10-match suspension by the Ghana Football Association for verbally assaulting a match official during a league game last season has not been on the bench of the Ghana Champions since the beginning of the 2014/15 season. Report says management is taking a decision on the matter as to whether to allow him continue his duties at the Club or withdraw him from his responsibilities for disloyalty. The defending League Champions two weeks ago asked head coach Mas-Ud-Didi Dramani to proceed on a four months accumulated leave following the Clubs recent poor display in the First Capital plus Premier League.
