We have, with much disappointment observed the hypocritical stands with which CODEC is exaggerating the alleged Osafo Marfo leaked tape. This said tape emerged from the NDC camp after Fred Agbenyo, a Deputy Propaganda Secretary unveiled it.

The Former Finance Minister, Mr. Osafo Marfo has denied some part of the content and claims it has been doctored. What guarantees that it wasn’t Fred Agbenyo who doctored it in order to paint Mr. Osafo Marfo black?

If indeed that CODEC whose members openly smoke “wee” really meant their slogan, “ONE GHANA, ONE  PEOPLE, ONE DESTINY”, why were other good meaning Ghanaians, irrespective of the political affiliation, denied from demonstrating against tribal politics? Why did they only dwell on an alleged tape and not condemn tribal politics in totality?  

During the NDC just ended congress, Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan, the Former National Organizer of the NDC, made a categorical statement that if his detractors do not stop their negative propaganda against him, he was going to reveal how President Mills, the only President that Central Region has produced, died. CODEC, where were you?

“No individual with an Akan name will be allowed to register here. I will ensure this with my blood. Odododiodio is for Gas only” – Hon. Nii Lantey Vanderpuye, 2012

“A Muslim can never be the president of Ghana” – Hon. Fiifi Kwetey, 2007

“H.E. J.A.Kuffour should go and build his office in Ashanti Region, he is not a Ga” – Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa & Ga Adangbe Youth, 2009

 
We want to unequivocally say that we are against tribal politics and that all politicians should refrain from it. But the action of CODEC is hypocritical and MISCHIEVIOUS.
