Mahama Is More Than A "Dead Goat - MP

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem South, Kwadwo Asante Boateng says President Mahama is "more than a dead goat".

According to him, the crippling economy and deteriorating socio-economic condtitions in the country is enough attestation that he [Mahama] indeed has a "dead goat syndrome". “Why should I be happy when Mahama makes such comments, he is even more than a dead goat because he has never listened to the problems we are facing as a country and so why won’t he make such comments” he added.

President John Mahama told the Ghanaian community in Botswana, where is on a three-day state visit, that "I have seen more demonstrations and strikes in my first two years. I don't think it can get worse.” “It is said that when you kill a goat and you frighten it with a knife, it doesn't fear the knife because it is dead already. I have a dead goat syndrome”, he added.

His comments were in relation to the numerous strikes and demonstrations which have been staged during his first two years in office. Most of the protests were against poor conditions of services and unstable economy.

But speaking on Adom FM Thursday, Asante Boateng described the comment as a propaganda tool which seeks to lure Ghanaians into voting for him in 2016. “He has intentionally told Ghanaians that he has dead goat syndrome which to me that syndrome started even before he became the president.

“If he thinks he is bold for making such comments then he is definitely lying to the people of this country. This is just a mark of incompetence in his administration.
