Brong-Ahafo Deputy Regional Minister commends Security Agencies

Mr. Justice Samuel Adjei, Deputy Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister has reassured the Regional Police Command that Government would continue to provide the needed tools for efficient provision of security services in the Region.

 
     Mr. Adjei gave the assurance at the Command’s end of Year get-together, popularly known as ‘WASSA’ at the forecourt of the Regional Police Headquarters on Friday in Sunyani.
 
     He entreated the Police to let professionalism and discipline guide them in their day-to-day activities, stressing that discipline, not only in the Police Service but in every facet of national life was the hallmark for accelerated socio-economic development of any nation.
 
     Mr. Adjei recalled the good performance of the security services in the Region in 2014 and commended the entire security personnel for their selfless work in maintaining peace and also protecting lives and properties.
 
     He urged the Police personnel to always be pro-active in their operations, re-affirming that the Regional Coordinating Council would continue to support the efforts of the security agencies for efficient execution of their respective mandates in the Region.
 
     In an address read for him Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Maxwell Atingane, Regional Police Commander, stated that last year, the Command made provision for adequate security on the highways and communities as its highest objective to promote safe political and economic activities in the Region.
 
     He was happy to note that the efforts of the Police personnel yielded good dividend in 2014, citing that the incidence of armed robbery, murder, fraud, and stealing as well as sexual and gender-based violence was lower than that of 2013.
