Mr. President, Fire A-G Now! - Nana Boakye

NPP Communicator, Nana Boakye has called on President John Dramani Mahama to sack State Attorney, Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong from office with immediate effect.

The High court acquitted and discharged Alfred Agbesi Woyome on two counts of defrauding and causing financial loss to the State.

After his acquittal, he addressed a letter to the Presidency disclosing that Marietta Brew Appioah-Oppong somehow benefited from the judgment debt paid him by the State when she was an Attorney at Lithur and Brew.

According to Nana Boakye, the revelation proves that Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong had a personal interest in the Woyome case and her conflict of interest as State Attorney on the case led to the acquittal of Woyome.

Speaking on Peace FM's Morning Show on "Kokrokoo", Nana Boakye appealed to President Mahama to relieve her off her position, stating emphatically that "Mr. President, if indeed you have sworn an oath in Parliament to combat corruption, you need to fire Marietta Brew Appiah -Oppong today per this code of conduct.
She has represented Austro Invest before…So, it is likely. It will conflict with your job."
