A twenty seventh minute strike from Susubiribi United SC striker, Stephen Wiredu was enough to eliminate premier league club Heart of Lions from the MTN FA Cup round of 64 match played at the Koforidua sports stadium.
The goal unsettled lions, who started the game pressing their opponents to their half for the greater part of the first half but failed to take advantage of the situation till the end of the first half.
The second half saw lions pressing for an equalizer, but the Susubiribi lads did not give in as they also created some decent chances but could not increase the tally.
All the six substitutes from both sides could not change the outcome of the game as the score line remained the same till the 90th minute.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview, the coach of Susubiribi SC, Mr Michael Adjetey Anyankor said, he is happy to have won against the premier league club and indicated that, his players played according to his plan.
He said, his team will prepare for the next round as he anticipates a tougher opposition.
