Mahatmas Injury Not Serious

Black Stars striker,  Mahatma Otoo, says he will return to action in three weeks after the second scan on his injured tigh revealed a minor injury.

He told the Graphic Sports from his Norway-base yesterday that the scan showed that the injury was not threatening and he could be fit within the next three weeks.

“The result showed that it was just a muscle injury and it’s not very serious so it will take between two to three weeks to heal”, Otoo stressed.

The Sogndal striker explained that the process of healing would not require surgery but required natural process of healing with medication.

“I have started working out at the gym with our physiotherapist to strengthen that particular muscle and from the way things are going I believe I will recover much faster than anticipated”, he disclosed.

Otoo missed the Black Stars  friendly matche against Senegal last Saturday and would miss the second friendly against Mali tomorrow after he was ruled out due to the injury he sustained on his right thigh during a training session with his club in Norway last week.

But the player, who is influential at the Sogndal set-up, is confident he will bounce back much stronger and better to assist his club preparing to launch a strong comeback to the top flight football next season.
