The Universal Merchant Bank (UMB) has opened two new branches in the Greater Accra Region.

The branches, one on the Spintex Road, next to Isuzu Motors, and the other on the famous Oxford Street at Osu, opposite Shoprite, are meant to bring banking to the doorstep of the people.

A release issued in Accra yesterday said: “Outfitted with self-service 24-hour E-Zone complete with 24-hour ATMs and E-Banking services, the Spintex and the Oxford Street branches are state-of-the-art banking facilities designed to address the varied needs of today’s modern consumer.” 

In announcing the branch openings, the release quoted the UMB’s Director of Retail, Mr Lawrence Appiah-Baiden, as saying: "These branches are a physical manifestation of our ‘You First’ platform and the continuation of our retail growth strategy to better serve the needs and aspirations of our customers.” 

Meanwhile, with effect from the week beginning Monday, March 23, the UMB hasbeen offering instant giveaways to all new customers at its new Spintex and Oxford Street branches.
