Rahim Ayew: Jordan Is The Future of Ghana Attack

The eldest son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele says his younger brother Jordan will soon become an indispensible man in Ghanas attacking line. Former Kumasi Asante player Rahim Ayew has stated that his younger brother Jordan Ayew is the future of Ghanas attack and that it is logical for Ghanaians to criticize him for not delivering enough at the moment. The local media and fans are apparently unimpressed with the showing of the 23-year-old during Saturdays international friendly between the Black Stars and the Teranga Lions of Senegal in France, which Ghana lost 2-1. Ghanaians always criticize. We never appreciate anyone including me, so it is normal. I am happy for my brother Jordan because he is in top form. He has scored nine Ligue 1 goals, Rahim Ayew told Goal. He is not even at his peak yet. He is still a small boy. When Asamoah Gyan joined the Black Stars, he faced the same criticisms, but now he is our leading striker. I believe it and Im saying it that Jordan is the future of the Black Stars' attack, he said. Rahim, who is now training with Nania FC, the club of his father Abedi Pele, also hinted that hed welcome a return to the Black Stars if he hits top form. The Black Stars is for everyone. If Im in top form and playing well I will welcome an invitation to play for the team again. It is every player's dream to wear his national team jersey, he said. Rahim, 26, was part of Ghana's 2010 World Cup squad and has played for Eleven Wise, Zamalek, Lierse in Belgium and Asante Kotoko.
