Reverend Joshua A. Jackson, the District Pastor of Ahenbronoso Church of Pentecost has urged Ghanaians to continue praying for national peace and unity.
He said as the nation draws closer to the 2016 general election it was important for the citizenry to take the good lessons of Nigeria’s recent peaceful polls.
Rev Jackson gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at the end of a four-day outreach programme by the three districts of the Church of Pentecost comprising Bechem Central, Ahenbronoso and Pokukrom, forming the Bechem Zone, in the Brong Ahafo Region.
It was held under the auspices of Apostle Kingsford Kyei Mensah, the Brong Ahafo Regional Head of the Church of Pentecost with the theme: ““Behold, He Comes,” (Revelation 22:12).
Rev Jackson called on Ghanaians to welcome Jesus Christ into their lives and be worthy ambassadors and stewards in all their endeavours, be it at home, school, church or workplace.
Rev Johnson Asiedu of the Bechem Central branch of the church advised the people to let Christ manifest in their lives spiritually, physically and mentally for the transformation of the nation.
Rev Freeman K. Dornyoin of the Pokukrom branch of the church said it is only Jesus Christ who holds the key to solving all mankind’s problems and that Ghanaians must rely on Him in times of difficulties.
