Dzamefe Commission Report Leaks: Nyantakyi Asked To Refund Co-efficient World Cup Money

President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has been asked by the Dzamefe Presidential Commission to refund part of the ‘Co-efficient World Cup money’ to the state, Ghana Sports can exclusively reveal.

It will be recalled that GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi revealed at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry that he sent the FA’s acting General Secretary, Emmanuel Gyimah to the FINANCE ministry for the appearance fees meant for the Management Committee members of the Black Stars with a mathematical Co-efficient of seven (7), taking into account the fact that originally the committee was made up of seven members including the late Jordan Anagbla.

But Nyantakyi’s augment, according to our investigation proved unconvincing. The general perception is that once the money was an appearance fee, management members who did not appear in person should not be beneficiaries. Thus, the GFA has been asked to refund part of the monies that was supposedly given to members of management committee who did not appear in Brazil.

According to our grapevine sources the report has further urged the GFA to refund monies earned on some selected friendly matches to the state.

The FA failed to produce a documentary proof to the commission on some friendly matches it claimed to have spent monies on despite persistent demand by the commission.
