The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST)'s Faculty of Social Science of the College of Arts on April 10, 2015 honoured comic actor Kwadwo Nkansah aka LilWin for his contribution to Ghana's movie industry. The award was given as part of the faculty's annual Excellence Awards, held at the KNUST Law Auditorium of the Kumasi campus, to acknowledge outstanding achievements by its members and also those who contribute phenomenally towards the creative arts industry. Many actors and musicians were present at the event including students and lecturers alike. Lil Win, who is currently in Canada for his international fan tour, was represented by his manager Abdul Razak Amissah who received the award on the actor's behalf. He thanked the event organisers and pledged the actor's support of the faculty and the movie industry in general.
