Book Long Is Killing NPP Claims Kofi Ghana

The ‘I know all’ (Too Known) trait by some members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is affecting the development of the party, former Member of Parliament for Asokwa Constituency, Mr. Maxwell Kofi Jumah has stated.

In an exclusive interview with The Chronicle, Mr. Jumah, affectionately known as ‘Kofi Ghana’, said the NPP is undoubtedly flooded with academicians and some people in the party feel they know everything in the party.

“In Ghana, if you are an academician, you are exalted and you are over ridden by the “I know it all” mantra, so you feel you know everything,KofiJumah explained. According to him, the Danquah-Dombo-Busia family needs to be humble and accept ideas from everyone in the party regardless one’s educational background, because all ideas are important to the development of the party.

Kofi Ghana bemoaned that there is no team work in the party and  has, therefore, urged the elephant family to be humble and accept views from party members in their quest to capture power 2016.

Commenting on the preparedness of the NPP for the 2016 General Elections, the former Local Government Deputy Minister advised the party to concentrate on the 2016 elections like a laser beam  and keep their eyes on the price, which is unseating the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) from the Flagstaff House.

"The distraction is so much and it diverts our attention from our mission as opposition political party”, he stated. Mr. Jumah asked the party not pay attention to the affirmative action and other issues but instead focus on the upcoming elections.
