The woes former Marketing Manager of MTN and leading member of pressure group, OccupyGhana, George Andah, are far from over as members of the constituency he is seeking to represent on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party in parliament in 2016 have kicked against his candidature.

Even before George Andah clears himself of the ‘stranger’ tag some NPP operatives have bestowed on him, inhabitants of the Awutu Senya West constituency have sounded a strong word of caution to him to shelve his parliamentary ambition.

According to them the marketing guru since his days at MTN and Glo has never identified himself with the people of Awutu Senya not to talk of him assisting them, adding that it would be in his own interest not to put himself up for election.

This sentiment was expressed in a strongly worded statement jointly signed by leaders of a group calling itself, Senya Voice of the Youth.
“Mr George Andah, in his days at MTN and GLO could not facilitate job opportunities to any youth or the people within the Senya community, We as a group feels that George have NOT demonstrated a great sense of facilitating employment avenue to many youth in Senya to at least attract our (the people of Senya) support in his bid to represent the people of Awutu Senya in Parliament,” the statement noted.

“We therefore wish to a challenge to Mr Andah to identify at least a single or two persons whether in his family or within the Senya community that he has able to facilitate any job opportunity to,” the statement added.

Mr George Andah recently announced his intension to contest the Awutu Senya seat on the ticket of the NPP. His bid was motivated by months of virulent attack on the National Democratic Congress government on the platform of an NPP tainted pressure group, OccupyGhana.
However, leaders of Senya Voice of the Youth insist that he does not merit representing a constituency he neglected over the years in Parliament.

Why George Andah Can Not Represent The People Of Senya Beraku:
Our brother George has not demonstrated even once that he cares to uplift the lifes of the people of Senya. We will dare him even on his social media constituency platform where he seems to convince people his love to serve God and country, to tell the whole world a single project, help, assistance that he has ever given to anybody in Senya. We hear the MP for Efutu saying he has been helping the NPP. It appears that might have happened in Wineba. Not in Senya and for that matter Efutu. That road he cleared just before coming out publicly was an insult. Especially becuase of his choice of where he thinks he can do something to convince anybody.

Mr George Andah, in his days at MTN and GLO could not facilitate job opportunities to any youth or the people within the Senya community, We as a group feels that George have NOT demonstrated a great sense of facilitating employment avenue to many youth in Senya to at least attract our (the people of Senya) support in his bid to represent the people of Awutu Senya in Parliament.

We therefore wish to a challenge to Mr Andah to identify at least a single or two persons whether in his family or within the Senya community that he has able to facilitate any job opportunity to.
We also wish to alert Mr George Andah to identify a common 'SPACE TO SPACE' Enterprise he grated or facilitated in his era of being a 'Marketing Boss' at MTN in 2006.

George Andah has not be able to identify himself with the people of Senya. This is simply because he has not, as a matter fact attended any single program, event or activity organized by the Senya Community.

We are mainly fishermen and fishmongers. George shows some amount of arrogance that does not make him fit to represent us. We want him to tell us the last time he spent the night in Senya or joined us to celebrate our annual festival Akumase which we have on several occasions appealed to him for assistance and he has refused.

We hear he has bought land at Bawjiase to build. This to us is the biggest insult that adds to the fact that he doesn't respect us. Yes he has a family house in Senya which he finds not fit to sleep in so instead of even building a "suitable" house in Senya he choses to build in the "City" because Senya is filthy. He does things to show he is better than us. How can he represent us?

It wealthy to note that George Andah is building in Bawjiase and subsequently willing to reside at Bawjiase is a clear action of dishonesty, betrayal and unfortunate.

However, it is rather appropriate and natural for George Andah to build in his hometown Senya Beraku instead of other community within the constituency. No one should mistake our action to confirm the statement that "a prophet is not respected in his own home town " No this is a matter of Charity begins at home.

It is also imperative to know that Senya Beraku is an independent Traditional Council that normally celebrate Akumase Festival in the month August every year, We wish to put on record that George Andah has never put up any sponsorship package toward the celebration of Senya Akumase Festival.

As a 'Chief Marketing Boss', it is rather appropriate to design a proper event and program toward the celebration of any Akumase in the community. As a group we seek to question Mr Andah that if he has the competence to promote MTN and GLO, then why couldn't he promote own ROOT (SENYA)?

On the 27th December 2011, the people of Senya encountered a terrible accident that lost 27 lives and many other wounded, In such a sad mood of the community had a lot of supports coming from outsiders and people within the community to donate to such helpless community, Mr Andah could not show his physical presence to the people of Senya and never donated to ease the terrible frustration of the people Senya.
His accession of the seat of parliament as Awutu Senya west MP will service as a catalyst that will stir up the already controvecial traditional disputes in Senya.

In conclusion, the Senya Voice Of The Youth wishes to alert all citizens of Senya including George Andah who are in their small corner of business or higher position in the country should make it a priority to render any little support to their community before mounting a public office or represent the people of Senya.

The Group will forever make the holding of public office unattractive to ant citizen of Senya who denied any opportunity to develop or project the well being of Senya's development . We love him as a brother but he should come and serve us in a different capacity not this selfish ambition of becoming an MP. Senya must work again!
