Titus Glover: Blacklist All South African Companies In Ghana If

Member of Parliament for Tema East Constituency, Daniel Nii Kwatei Titus-Glover wants Ghanaians to emulate the example of Nigerians by boycotting all South Africa’s companies in Ghana for their barbaric attacks on African nationals in their country.

The NPP MP described the attacks on black immigrants in South Africa as “disgusting” after lambasting President Jacob Zuma for his “slow” efforts to curb the situation which has left many citizens marooned in South Africa.

Violent clashes have spread over the last two weeks after foreign nationals have complained bitterly that the South African police are failing to protect them.

The violence flared days after Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini said in remarks reported by local media that foreigners should leave South Africa.

His comments after claiming were misunderstood has led to a bloody attacks on all black non-nationals in South Africa with some been killed.

President Zuma last week condemned the xenophobic attacks and has vowed to put an end to it but aggrieved nations, notably Nigerians and Mozambicans are retaliating to the attacks by fighting South Africans in their country as well as destroying companies owned by South Africans.

Similar actions are what Titus want Ghanaians to follow but was quick to admit that “two wrongs do not make a right”.

He is of a view that, even though he wanted Ghanaians to blacklist South Africans companies in Ghana, “I also have a second thought that, most of our citizens are also working there and their companies have also employed most Ghanaians here”.

I am much disappointed in President Zuma. What is he doing to solve this problem?” he quizzed on Adom FM.
