Vehicle In Convoy Kills Three-And-A-Half-Year-Old Girl

A vehicle in a convoy of metropolitan, municipal and district co-ordinating directors from the Eastern and Ashanti regions last Tuesday knocked down and killed a three-and-a-half-year old girl at Toamfom in the Bosomtwe District in the Ashanti Region.

The girl, Tiffany Justina Adoma, was first rushed to the Kuntanase Government Hospital and later referred to the St Michael’s Hospital at Pramso, where she died.

When the convoy reached Toamfom, the girl, who had closed from school and was standing by the roadside, crossed the 20-vehicle convoy.

Speaking to the Daily Graphic at the St Michael’s Hospital, the acting Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Samuel Adu, said the girl was rushed to the hospital around 4:15 p.m. with internal bleeding and other complications.

He said a team of medical doctors and other personnel did everything possible to sustain her but lost her after almost one hour of struggle.

The body was deposited at the hospital’s mortuary awaiting autopsy.
