Founder Of Macho Men For Good And Justice Dead

The founder and leader of Macho Men for Good and Justice, Nana Kwabena Boakye Ampofo II, has died.

The Nsutaman Kyeame Panin, aka Nana Nico, died on April 18, 2015 in Kumasi after a short illness.

Nana Ampofo, 48, was also the elder brother of Mr Jacob Osei Yeboah (JOY), the 2012 independent presidential candidate.

According to a family spokesperson, the one week observance would come off on Thursday.

Macho for Good and Justice is a group of bodybuilders, some of whom were, in the past, on the payroll of politicians. Their duties included intimidating voters perceived to belong to a party other than their paymasters’ and stealing/snatching ballot boxes for their masters during elections.

The Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL) hosted a section of the members of the association during the 2012 Election, who said they had worked for many politicians and perpetrated violence on fellow citizens with the sole aim of ensuring that their paymasters won elections they had contested.

But they had repented, they said, and would now preach peace and never allow themselves to be used for lawless activities.

The Daily Graphic commended the ‘macho men’ for finally repenting  from their misdeeds and expressed profound appreciation to the brains behind the laudable initiative.
