BOST: Go Beyond Report...Punish The Culprits - Fred Agbenyo

Fred Agbenyo, a Deputy Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has appropriate authorities in the country to sanction the culprits implicated in the audit report on the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) Company.

The audit report revealed huge corruption involving officials of the company.

The report, done by Ernest and Young (E&Y), a notable international accounting firm, disclosed massive corruption among senior BOST officials and officials of 16 bulk oil distribution companies (BDCs); as reported by Daily Graphic on Thursday, April 23, 2015.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Fred Agbenyo told host Nana Yaw Kesse that all those implicated in the report to have connived to perpetuate such corruption should not go unpunished.

According to him, they should be chastised to serve as deterrent to other officials and the Ghanaian populace at large.

Recommending more investigations to be conducted to unveil the corruption in State institutions, Fred Agbenyo however agreed with "those who making the call that we should go just beyond the report and the issues raised by the BDC or the BOST and get some independent team to investigate, and found out those who have truly offended Ghana…We call for such investigation, more of such investigation to continue in several State institutions.”
