6 Golden Rules For Wearing Jeans

Whether you are in your teens, 20′s, 30′s or 40′s, we all love to rock the denims. You wouldn’t be too wrong to call the denims the best unofficial trousers for men.

Whether you want to dress casual or for a party or a stroll, or whatever looks you desire, wearing jeans is always a good option. However, there are some simple basic rules that would make you look better in those pairs of jeans.

6 golden rules to always remember

1. WHEN THEY ARE FADED, IT’S TIME TO SAY GOODBYE: There is a difference between buying faded colour denims and wearing one till it fades. Once denim starts to wear out, it’s best to say goodbye to it. The beauty of denim lays a lot in its colour, and once the colour isn’t as sharp as it ought to, it wouldn’t be attractive anymore.

2. JEANS AND DRESS SHOES DOESN’T ALWAYS FIT: Dress shoes are mostly worn for corporate attires, while jeans are the opposite. Some people now take the risk in wearing jeans on dress shoes and still look good, but that’s a risky one, and it’s highly not advisable. And if you must rock your denims on a dress shoe, it should be fitted; you can’t attempt that with baggy jeans.

3. IF YOU MUST WEAR DISTRESSED JEANS, KEEP IT SIMPLE: Jeans can be worn by everyone but it shouldn’t be worn like everyone. You shouldn’t be 40 and wearing distressed jeans like a teenager — class is very much shown in how you rock your denims. However, wearing distressed jeans for a night out rocks.

4. WEAR JEANS THAT FIT: I think baggy jeans are no longer trendy; fitted jeans are way much cooler. If you have to struggle with your zip and buttons when wearing the jeans then it’s too tight, and if you jeans can’t stay without your belts then they are too big. Choosing a size in-between is always the best option.

5. THE LENGTH OF YOUR SHIRT IS IMPORTANT: The length of the shirt you wear on the jeans matters a lot. If it’s too long, the beauty of the jeans would be hidden and if it’s too short, it wouldn’t be that fashionable as well. It’s best when the length of the shirt ends just around the back pocket.

6. DON’T OVER WASH YOUR JEANS: Excessive laundry of jeans is just a faster way to kill it, and if you remember the first tip, wearing jeans when it fades is usually not fashionable. Excessive laundry would make it wear out quickly, and when you want to wash it, toss them inside out. Also, wash only with cold water.

Whether you want to wear a jacket, a sweater, a v neck t-shirt, a collar t-shirt, a vest, a casual blazer, a short or long-sleeved shirt, a good pair of jeans is always a matching accomplice — all you need do is to bring a matching style to it.
