Emmanuel Frimpong Wins 78,600 After Placing 50k On Floyd To Beat Pacman

Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has won a staggering £78,600 after correctly betting on Floyd Mayweather to beat Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas.

The former Arsenal midfielder slapped an incredible £50,000 on pre-fight favourite Money Man Mayweather.

And he was rewarded for his bravery when Mayweather turned in a masterful performance to distinguish Pacquiao's hopes in Vegas.

He won the bout on a unanimous points decision after carrying out the perfect fight plan to nullify his opponent's threat.

The judges scored the fight 118-110, 116-112, 116-112 all in the favour of the undefeated American.

After the fight Mayweather confirmed his intentions to retire after one last fight later this year.

"My last fight is in September and after that, I am hanging them up," he said straight after the win.

"I'm nearly 40 years old, in this sport for nearly 19 years and I'm truly blessed. I am fighting again in September."
