NPP Won�t Encourage Camping Of Delegates In Parliamentary Primaries - John Boadu

The National Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu who doubles as a member of the Vetting Committee in the upcoming Parliamentary Primaries has warned against the camping of delegates.

According to him, any aspirant who flouts this order will be disqualified even after meeting all the requirements per the constitution of the party and Ghana’s constitution.

Speaking on Okay FM’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, John Boadu hinted that all is set for the vetting at the various areas in the country earmarked for the exercise to choose candidates who are not just good communicators but also possess quality leadership skills.

Among the criteria for the vetting, the National Organizer of NPP mentioned that the committee look out for aspirants who are regular dues payers and have played active roles in their various constituencies they want to represent in terms of nurturing the constituencies, providing logistics, resources and an active member of the constituency.

He maintained that any candidate that wants to gain qualification in the vetting should be someone who is able to motivate people in the constituency as he or she will be representing them in Parliament.

“You must also show that you are committed to the party and you should oblige to the decisions and the rules of the party. You should be able to motivate people and you should be someone who pays your dues regularly. These are some of the things we will be looking out for and also we won’t entertain camping of delegates during the Parliamentary Primaries,” he admonished.
