PHOTOS: Giuseppina Nana Akua Baafi Celebrates Mothers Day With Aged Women

The Pina Baafi Foundation celebrated this years mother’s day with the aged women of kukruntumi with a party and gift items worth of GHC15,000.

The foundation headed  by Miss Ghana 2013 Miss Giuseppina Nana Akua Baafi decided to organise a party for aged women in celebration of Mothers Day to put smiles on their faces considering the fact that most mothers just get a call or text messages from their children in celebration of the day. It was to celebrate the day with a difference and really make mothers appreciated for the enormous work they do.

The event was graced by fellow beauty queens Margaret Kuma Mintah and Crystal Selorm Amudzi Miss Ghana 2013  1st and 2nd Runner Ups and also in attendance was Popular Ghanaian actor and  Ghana Movie Awards 2011 Favourite Actor Winner and acclaimed ladies man Prince David Osei with his manager Theresa Naa Banafoe.

The aged women couldn’t hide their joy at such a gesture and were honoured to have in their midst three beauty queens and an award winning actor coming to celebrate mother’s day with them. They danced their heart outs, feasted to their satisfaction and had the opportunity to mingle and chit chat with Pina, Margaret, Crystal and Prince David Osei.

In a speech Delivered by Miss Pina Baafi she acknowledged how a profession such as motherhood although tedious doesn’t come with a break or retirement package. Once you become a mother you will leave this world being a mother. She further stated the importance of having a mother or mother figure in our lives either as children or adults. She took the opportunity to say a very big thank you to all the mothers for being mothers and bringing up their children one way or the other.

The Event was climaxed with food and  toiletries  the Pina Baafi Foundation donated to the women as mother’s day gifts, receiving the items on behalf of the women was MP for Abuakwa North Honourable J.B. Danquah who thanked the Pina Baafi Foundation for such a nice gesture done the aged women of Kukruntumi and for selecting Kukruntumi to celebrate such a day.
