Sir John Scolds Arthur K: Dont Wash NPPs Dirty Linen With Dirty Water

Lawyer Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has advised the former Presidential Hopeful of NPP, Dr. Kobina Arthur Kennedy to stop adding salt to the injury of the party with his write-ups.

Dr. Arthur Kobina Kennedy says his critique about happenings in his party are to make sure the leadership realize the problem and address it accordingly.

Dr. Arthur Kennedy, also a founding member of the party, urged people accusing him of washing the party’s dirty linen in public to know that he is only commenting on issues already in the public domain.

….those saying I am washing our dirty linen outside, they sent the dirty linen to the public and we are commenting on it… If they don’t want our linen to be washed in public then they should stop making it dirty. If you carry machetes and guns to party headquarters to beat up your chairman and General Secretary, you should not be surprise you are making news”, he stated.

But Sir John in reaction to this said on Okay Fm’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show there is no truth that Nana Addo wants to remove Kwabena Agyapong and Paul Afoko from their position because he [Akufo-Addo] is not interested in their positions.

He advised that inasmuch as Arthur Kennedy means well for the NPP, he [Arthur K] has to be circumspect in his write-ups because it is rather deepening the crack in the party. He further warned that any pretender in the NPP harboring the intention of making Nana Akufo-Addo lose the 2016 elections will face the wrath of Ghanaians as they are tired of the bad governance of the Mahama-led administration

We use clean water to wash dirty linen and not dirty water and so we cannot wash our dirty linen with dirty water. What you are doing is adding more dirt to the already dirty linen and those who are behind this should be very careful because Ghanaians won’t forgive them. Nobody is running away that there is tension...even in churches b there are differences of opinion, but we don’t add salt to injury”, Sir John said.
