Report reaching Peacefmonline.com indicates that, the Upper East Vice Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP], Osmanu Konkonaba has been attacked by some youth over the death of his chairman, Adams Mahama.
Adams died Thursday morning after an acid bath a night before by two unknown assailants.
Reasons for his attack is not known yet but armed police personnel have been deployed to the Bolga Regional Hospital to beef up security.
According to Albert Sori, Joy News U/E Regional Correspondent, Osmanu Konkonaba also known as ‘Borga’ and his driver were attacked at the mortuary when they arrived in a Mercedes Benz car.
The windscreen of his car was smashed with heavy building blocks but Osamanu and his driver are believed to be safe.
It took the intervention of the police, who fired warning shots, to disperse the angry crowd.
However, no one has been arrested for the unlawful act.
