The New Patriotic Party is currently in serious crisis which has led to its National Chairman and General Secretary deserting the party’s office for security reasons.

Some aggrieved members of the party have vowed to physically attack Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyepong [Chairman & General Secretary] for causing the internal wrangling in the party in recent times.

However, the 2016 flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo Tuesday morning visited the party’s headquarters at Asylum Down in Accra.

His visit to the party's office was due to reports that a group of young men known as Invincible Force had took over security duties at the headquarters.

The party’s flagbearer was briefed by the National Organizer, John Boadu who explained the takeover of the office’s security by the Invisible Force.

Nana Addo was also briefed on recent developments within the party, including the increasing calls for Afoko and Agyepong to step aside.

He however called for calm in the party as the party prepare towards elections 2016.
